About

Shortly after obtaining his Master's degree in OMS from the National University of Singapore in 2009, Dr Eugene Poh was awarded a Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) sponsorship in 2011 by Singapore's Ministry of Health for advanced training at the renowned Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital to specialise in in the management of salivary gland diseases, oral cancer management and the reconstruction of bony and soft tissue defects of the face and mouth.

This enabled him to pioneer the provision of complex OMS procedures in Khoo Teck Puat hospital such as salivary gland surgeries, resections of benign and malignant tumours in the oro-facial region (with neck dissection), as well as jaw reconstructions with vascularized free fibula flaps. His other clinical expertise includes surgical removal of impacted teeth, dental implant surgeries, corrective jaw operations, management of jaw cysts, and the repair and reconstruction of bony fractures of the face due to trauma and/or disease. Dr Poh has also been invited to conduct numerous talks and surgical skills workshops and has also authored and published several articles in multiple peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Poh served as the deputy head of Dental Surgery in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital before joining Woodlands Hospital in 2022 to set up and helm the Dental Surgery department. He is passionate about providing efficient and effective treatment, and delights in achieving successful outcomes for his patients.
