About

Dr Elvine Neo is an Associate Consultant with the NHG Eye Institute (NHGEI) at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

He obtained his medical degree from the University of Tasmania, Australia, before returning to Singapore to complete his ophthalmology residency with the NHG Health at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he served as Chief Senior Resident. He was awarded the Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from the National University of Singapore in 2024 and completed his specialist accreditation in Ophthalmology in 2025. He is currently a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK).

Dr Neo provides ophthalmic care, with a focus on cataract surgery and the management of general eye conditions. He has an interest in surgical and medical retina, and is currently undergoing fellowship training in this subspecialty within the NHG Health.

Beyond clinical work, Dr Neo has an academic interest in artificial intelligence in healthcare, and previously led a team that won the NUH–NUHS–MIT Healthcare AI Datathon 2018 for a visual field analysis project.

Dr Neo is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He holds teaching appointments with the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
