About

Dr Christopher Wong is a Senior Consultant in Emergency Medicine with special clinical interests in Paediatric Emergencies, as well as Primary Health Care, in particular its interaction with Tertiary Care.

Dr Wong obtained his medical degree from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 1994. He began training in Emergency Medicine in Singapore from 1996. Starting as a resident and eventually obtaining his full specialist accreditation in General as well as Paediatric Emergency Medicine in 2005. During his training, he rotated to various public healthcare institutions, with much of it spent in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) for his subspecialisation in Paediatric Emergency Practice, where he eventually worked as a specialist.

Dr Wong migrated to Australia shortly after, where he continued to practice General Emergency Medicine in the capacity of a specialist both in the public and private Emergency Medicine setting, in Sydney. In Australia, Dr Wong developed an appreciation of the Primary and Tertiary Care synergy, as well in depth inpatient care of various specialties. Dr Wong was part of the hospital’s committee to modernise medical record keeping, from handwritten to computer entry. He was also part of a start up in a telehealth collaboration.
