Dr Chew Aik Phon practises Geriatric Medicine with a special clinical interest in cognitive and memory disorders in the elderly.

He is committed to both undergraduate medical education in his role as Adjunct Assistant Professor at NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine; Senior Lecturer at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine; and postgraduate medical education in his appointment as a Core Clinical Faculty Member of NHG Geriatric Medicine Residency Training Programme.

His other professional responsibilities include holding the position as President of the Society for Geriatric Medicine, Singapore (2017-2021).

Dr Chew has won the following prestigious awards - NHG Team Recognition Award 2018 Gold Award (Inpatient Frail Elderly Care Team), NHG Team Recognition Award 2022 Gold Award (WH COVID-19 Treatment Facility at Tampines Nursing Home), NHG Teaching Award for Senior Doctors 2023, Healthcare Humanity Award 2023 Team Category (WH COVID-19 Treatment Facility at Tampines Nursing Home) and National Day Awards COVID-19, Commendation Medal 2023.
