Adjunct Associate Professor Christopher Cheok Cheng Soon, PBM, is currently Assistant Chairman Medical Board (Digital Health), the Chief of National Addictions Management Service and Director of National Mindline 1771 at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) in Singapore. He holds an adjunct position at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and serves as the Clinical Lead for CHI@IMH. He is also a member of the Implementation Committee on Digital Mental Health under the Ministry of Health. His current external appointments include serving as a Medical Assessor of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and membership on the Specialist Advisory Board (Psychiatry) for HQ Medical Corps, SAF. 

Over a career spanning more than two decades, A/P Cheok has held several significant leadership positions across Singapore's healthcare and military sectors. He previously served as President of the Singapore Psychiatric Association from 2018 to 2021, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Clarity Singapore Pte Ltd, a mental health charity, from 2017 to 2021, having first joined its Board in 2010. He also held the positions of Vice Chairman Medical Board at the National Addictions Management Service, IMH, and Deputy Chairman Medical Board at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, where he headed the Department of Psychological Medicine. In recognition of his contributions to the field, A/P Cheok has received several prestigious awards, including the Public Service Medal (PBM) as a National Day Award, the IMH Clinical Mentorship Award 2021, and the National Leadership Award for digital mental health implementation from the E Mental Health International Collaborative. Most recently, he was part of the team that received the National Healthcare Group Team Achievement Award 2023. A/P Cheok's research contributions are substantial, with numerous published papers in respected journals. 

He is currently the Principal Investigator for a major National Health Innovation Centre grant valued at $804,120, focusing on remote measurement and management of psychiatric care in Singapore. His previous research includes a MINDEF-funded project worth SGD 3.5 million investigating biomarkers for depression from 2010 to 2015, as well as participation as Site Principal Investigator in a National Translational Clinical Research Grant worth SGD 25 million. His research interests span various areas of psychiatry, including substance abuse, youth mental health, and military psychiatry. Notable publications include studies on cannabis use in Singapore, autism and national service, and substance abuse treatment outcomes, with work appearing in journals such as the Singapore Medical Journal, Research in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
