Dr Bryan Tan is a Consultant Surgeon-Scientist in Orthopaedic Surgery with expertise in trauma and upper extremity surgery. He has experience practicing both locally and overseas having done several fellowships internationally.

He has served as the Singapore Orthopaedic Trainee Committee (SOTC) President and has represented the Singapore Orthopaedic Association (SOA) as its Junior Ambassador. He is currently a clinical instructor of the Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Course and a clinical tutor with both the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU.
Dr Tan is currently pursuing a PhD with a focus on health service research and implementation science having been awarded the prestigious NMRC Research Training Fellowship. He currently holds several research grants totaling more than S$2 million as the principal investigator, most notably the NHG Population Health Grant for his project on the Collaborative Model of Care between Orthopaedics and Allied Healthcare Professional Trial (CONNACT) for knee osteoarthritis. He has been recognized for his research achievement with several awards such as the Singapore Young Investigator Award, Health Services Research (Gold).
Dr Tan has a strong interest in administration, health policy and public health. He currently sits on several cluster, national and international workgroups such the National Musculoskeletal Workgroup and Joint Effort Initiative. He is passionate about combining his interests in clinical medicine, research, public health and administration as a surgeon-scientist to use an evidence-based, data-driven approach to guide policy making and transform the care of musculoskeletal patients in Singapore and beyond.
