Palliative Care enhances the quality of life for patients and their families coping with challenges related to advanced illness. We take a holistic approach, addressing the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual aspects of each individual, facilitated by a multidisciplinary team.
The Palliative & Supportive Care (PalS) service aims to elevate both the science and art of supporting individuals with advanced illness and their families.
We provide specialist assessment and treatment for people with advanced illness, including cancers and non-cancers, with the following services.
Inpatient Hospice and Palliative Care Service
The Inpatient Hospice and Palliative Care Service (IHPCS) in Woodlands Hospital serves patients who require inpatient palliative care, aiming to address physical, emotional and spiritual needs and improve overall quality of life. Such care is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team comprising doctors, nurses, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, speech therapists, art as well as music therapists. We aim to deliver care that is person-centred, respectful and compassionate for you and your loved ones.
