The Department of Renal Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital provides comprehensive care for individuals with kidney disease and related conditions.

We offer a full spectrum of services, including evaluation and management of chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, glomerular disease, kidney failure, peritoneal dialysis and haemodialysis treatment, and kidney supportive care to support patients at every stage of their kidney health journey. 

Patients with chronic kidney disease are cared for at our dedicated renal clinic, where they receive regular monitoring and personalised treatment plans. We also manage a broad range of common and complex conditions, such as kidney stones treatment, high blood pressure, kidney biopsy and dialysis access.

Through our professional nephrology consultation and multi-disciplinary team, patients gain access to specialised advice and timely interventions, adding years of healthy life.

Clinical Services

Inpatient Haemodialysis Centre

The inpatient Haemodialysis Centre under the care of the Department of Renal Medicine provides a range of haemodialysis facilities for inpatients requiring acute and chronic dialysis treatments. Centres include Renal Unit and Acute Haemodialysis Unit. 

Peritoneal Dialysis Centre

The Peritoneal Dialysis Centre provides comprehensive training, support and care to our patients and their caregivers, on home dialysis. Our team provides professional and personalized care, emphasizing the benefits of peritoneal dialysis such as flexibility in treatment regimen and high quality of life, while maintaining the importance of the hygiene and proper exit site care of the peritoneal dialysis systems. Regular clinical reviews will be conducted with the renal physicians, renal coordinators, dietician, pharmacists and Peritoneal Dialysis specialist nurses.
