At Tan Tock Seng Hospital, our Department of Psychiatry is dedicated to supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of our patients through compassionate, holistic, and evidence-based care.

We provide services across outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and our specialised Medical Psychiatry Care Unit (MPCU). Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, medical social workers, and nurses work closely to support recovery and reintegration into daily life.

Services include psychiatric consultations, medication management, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), psychotherapy, and psychosocial interventions tailored to each individual's needs.

Our outpatient clinics serve individuals with various psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders (such as depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety and stress-related conditions, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, neuropsychiatric conditions, and psychiatric disorders related to ageing and chronic medical illness.

For patients who require more intensive care, our inpatient wards provide a safe and therapeutic environment for stabilisation and recovery.

The Medical Psychiatry Care Unit (MPCU) is a specialised service designed to manage patients with both complex medical and psychiatric conditions. It bridges the gap between medical and psychiatric care by providing integrated treatment for individuals whose mental health symptoms complicate their medical treatment, or medically ill patients with co-occurring psychiatric issues.
