Overview

TTSH ICU – Palliative Care Healthcare Manpower Development Plan Fellowship (Local)

Professional requirements: Registration with Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB) in Palliative Medicine

Admission criteria: 

  • Completed Senior Residency training in any of the following:
  • Respiratory and Critical Care
  • Anesthesiology and Intensive Care
  • Internal Medicine

Training duration: 6 months

Number of fellowships offered per year: 2

Clinical Fellowship Training Programme in Palliative Medicine 

Professional requirements: Fulfils Singapore Medical Council (SMC) requirements for temporary registration

Admission criteria: 

  • Registrar or junior consultant grade or equivalent in their home country
  • Preferably hold a postgraduate diploma or degree
  • Good proficiency in written and verbal English language
  • Obtain two separate letters of reference from Palliative Care Consultants from their home country

Training duration: 3-12 months

Number of fellowships per year: 4 fellows per year 

Sponsorship and undertaking: The international medical graduate (IMG) – medical fellow must be sponsored by his/her government / regional health authority or an appropriate institution in their home country. Clinical Observership in Palliative Medicine 

Professional requirements: Fulfils Singapore Medical Council (SMC) requirements for temporary registration 

Admission criteria: 

  • Good proficiency in written and verbal English language
  • Registrar or junior consultant grade or equivalent in their home country
  • Preferably hold a postgraduate diploma or degree
  • Preferably obtain two separate letters of reference from Palliative Care Consultants from their home country

Training duration: 28 days or less 

Number of observerships per year: Up to 2 clinical observerships per year 

Sponsorship and undertaking: Applicant must be sponsored by his/her government / regional health authority or an appropriate institution in their home country. Applicants will sign a letter of undertaking to return to their home country upon completion of the observership programme. Kindly submit applications here.
