The department of Medical Oncology provides consultations and systemic therapy (including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted and endocrine) for various adult solid organ cancers or /tumours.

Our clinical team comprises of specialist doctors and oncology trained nurses who are up-to-date and well-versed in oncology management. We bring to cancer patients, a wide range of expertise and research knowledge, which allows us to tailor treatments according to the stage of cancer, tumour biology and individual patient’s unique characteristics and care needs.

We are fully supported by a comprehensive suite of clinical and allied health services that is integral to cancer management. These include laboratory services (including pathology, personalized molecular and genetic testing), diagnostic and interventional radiology, dieticians, medical social workers, and integrated geriatric oncology, palliative medicine and hospice care.

The department also participates in multi-disciplinary tumour boards, which comprise the hospital's surgical and radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, in addition to medical oncologists. The cross-disciplinary nature enables a holistic approach to be adopted when reviewing and analysing each patient case to decide on the most appropriate care.

We provide comprehensive coverage including providing close cancer surveillance and tailored survivorship care plans after the cancer treatment has completed. In addition, we actively screen our patients for inherited/familial cancer syndromes and conduct in-depth pre and post-test counselling services.

Our patients have access to a broad range of early phase, investigator-initiated and global randomized clinical trials and we are part of the Singapore Translational Cancer Consortium (STCC) in partnership with other cancer institutions.
