• Macrogols are used to treat constipation.
• This medication may take one to two days to work.

• Do not stop taking your medication without checking with your healthcare professional.
• You may take this medication with or without food.
• Each sachet should be dissolved in a full glass of water.

If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Then take your next dose at the usual time. Do not take two doses to make up for the missed dose.

Inform your healthcare professional if:

• You are allergic to this medication or any of the other ingredients of this medication
• You are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding
• You have kidney problems
• You are taking any other medicines, including supplements, traditional medicines and herbal remedies.
• If you have any persistent abdominal pain and/or cramps, vomiting, complete inability to pass stool/gas or fever, or should any of these symptoms develop during treatment.
• You have a history of inflammatory bowel disease (e.g. ulcerative colitis or crohn’s disease).
• You have fructose intolerance. This medicine contains sorbitol.

Diarrhoea

• If you develop diarrhoea while taking this medicine, temporarily stop treatment and consult your health care professional. Symptoms should resolve one to two days after stopping this medicine.

Other side effects of this medicine include bloating, abdominal pain and nausea and vomiting.

The symptoms of a drug allergy include one or more of the following:

• Swollen face/eyes/lips/tongue
• Difficulty in breathing
• Itchy skin rashes over your whole body.

If you experience any of these symptoms, you should stop your medicine and see your healthcare professional immediately.

Leave a two hour gap when taking this medicine with other medicines.

Store in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep this medication away from children.

Pack this medication into a black trash bag and seal it tightly before throwing into the rubbish chute or bin.
