This interactive 1-day classroom workshop is an extension of the RTW Competencies for OTs and will focus more on use of performance-based assessments or cognitive assessments to match the clients' cognitive functional abilities to their job demands. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: Explore the functional profiles of mild, moderate, and severe acquired brain injuries/cognitive deficits Identify compensatory and remediative intervention approaches to overcome cognitive difficulties Plan, select and perform appropriate performance-based assessments to administer for clients with cognitive challenges Apply the “Acquire – Apply – Adapt” training into therapeutic interventions to facilitate return-to-work (RTW) [Pre-requisite] Participants should have attended RTW: Competencies for OTs workshop within the last 5 years.
