Prof Benjamin Seet

Group Chairman Medical Board (Research)


Prof Benjamin Seet leads NHG Health’s research strategy and innovation ecosystem, advancing clinical research and industry partnerships through his role as Group Chairman Medical Board (Research). He co-chairs the Academic Partnership Office with LKCMedicine and NTU, fostering translational science and interdisciplinary collaboration. Prof Seet has driven national efforts in drug discovery, vaccine resilience, AI in healthcare, and ageing research. He also advises biomedical startups and serves on multiple national health research platforms. Previously Executive Director of the Biomedical Research Council at A*STAR, Prof Seet also held senior appointments in the Singapore Armed Forces and the United Nations. His mission is to accelerate research that improves care outcomes, nurtures talent, and strengthens NHG Health’s academic health system. Prof Seet holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology from NUS, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. His work exemplifies visionary leadership at the intersection of science, care, and innovation.
