Adj Prof Tang Kong Choong leads Tan Tock Seng Hospital with a clear vision to advance tertiary care and academic excellence, underpinned by digital transformation and workforce renewal. As CEO, he drives Phase 2 of the HealthCity Novena Masterplan, elevating TTSH’s role as a future-ready hub of care and learning. An accredited anaesthetist, Prof Tang has held progressive leadership roles in TTSH since 2020, moving from Senior Consultant to Assistant CEO, then Deputy CEO. Prior to this, he had a distinguished career with the SAF Medical Corps, where he served as Chief of Medical Corps. There, he led key innovations in medical support systems, electronic health records, and paramedic training. He also chaired the National Advanced Trauma Life Support Committee and served as board director of the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority. Prof Tang’s career reflects his commitment to advancing both clinical and operational excellence in healthcare.
