Chief Wellness Officer

A/Prof Daniel Fung is the Chief Wellness Officer of NHG Health. As a national leader in mental health and former CEO of the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) between 2021 and 2026, he is known for his pioneering work in child and adolescent psychiatry, and has advanced mental healthcare innovation and accessibility. A/Prof Fung’s expertise and experience will strengthen NHG Health's efforts to build a supportive and healthy work environment. He previously served as President of the Singapore Association for Mental Health and led MOH’s REACH programme, which transformed youth mental health services. A/Prof Fung has held leadership roles in regional and global psychiatry associations and teaches across Singapore’s three medical schools. He has also led large-scale research focused on neurodevelopmental and emotional disorders. Clinically trained in psychiatry, he holds a Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) from NUS and completed advanced fellowships in Toronto and executive education at Wharton. His contributions span clinical excellence, policy, education, and digital innovation in mental health. A passionate advocate for reducing stigma, he continues to drive progress in integrated, community-based mental healthcare.
