National Skin Centre

A/Prof Chua Sze Hon is a respected dermatologist with over 35 years of clinical experience, currently serving as Executive Director of the National Skin Centre (NSC). Under his leadership, NSC has strengthened its position as a regional leader in dermatology care, medical education, and translational research. A/Prof Chua chairs the national Dermatology Residency Advisory Committee, shaping specialist training aligned with national needs. He also contributes to several MOH and professional regulatory bodies, including the Optometry and Optician Board and Singapore Medical Council’s Aesthetic Practice Committee. A former President of the Dermatological Society of Singapore, he has played key roles in curriculum development and accreditation. A/Prof Chua has received numerous accolades for his leadership and integrity, including the MOH Distinguished Senior Clinician Award and NHG’s Outstanding Citizenship and Education Leader Awards. He holds an MBBS from NUS and completed his specialist training in dermatology in 1997. A/Prof Chua exemplifies excellence in clinical care, mentorship, and health system development.
