Mr Patrick Tay is the Assistant Secretary-General of NTUC, and an elected NTUC Central Committee member. He is also the Director of NTUC Strategy, as well as Legal Services. Concurrently, he is also an elected Member of Parliament for Pioneer SMC. He currently chairs the Government Parliamentary Committee for Education and co-chairs the Financial Sector Tripartite Committee with the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Besides that, he is the Executive Secretary for United Workers of Electronics and Electrical Industries (UWEEI) and is also Deputy Chairperson, REACH Supervisory Panel and Chairman, West Coast Town Council.

He is a leading industrial/employment relations lawyer and advises/represent unions/union leaders/union member in complex and contentious disputes in the space of employment/labour law as well as in the Industrial Arbitration Court. He has also been involved in numerous legislative changes in the area of labour/employment laws in Singapore for the past decade.
