Ong Khiaw Hong

Mr Ong Khiaw Hong was the Chief Executive of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) from Apr 2017 to April 2024. ACRA is the national regulator of business registration, financial reporting, public accountants, and corporate service providers in Singapore.


Mr Ong served on the Accounting Standards Council of Singapore, Corporate Governance Oversight Committee and the Singapore Accountancy Commission. Internationally, he represented Singapore on the Board of the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators and the Executive Committee of the Corporate Registers Forum.


Prior to joining ACRA, Mr Ong was the Deputy Commissioner (Corporate & Services) at the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS). Mr Ong has over 30 years of experience in the corporate accounting and tax field. He started his career in the Administrative Service, serving in the Education and Defence ministries. He joined the Inland Revenue Department in 1991 and was the Director (Taxation) at the Ministry of Finance from July 2000 to June 2002.
