Dr Wong Chiang Yin
Public Health Physician
Dr Wong Chiang Yin is a public health specialist physician by training. He is part-time Senior Consultant to Ministry of Health, (Primary and Continuing Care) and also Advisor to MOHH.
He has been an elected member of the Singapore Medical Council since 2020 and currently chairs its Ethics Committee. He is currently the Assistant Master (Administrative Affairs) and Master-elect of the Academy of Medicine Singapore. He has also been an elected Council Member of the Singapore Medical Association since 1995 and was its President from 2006 to 2009.
From 2011 to 2022, Dr Wong was Group CEO of three publicly-listed companies in the healthcare sector. He has also held senior positions in Singhealth, including Chief Operating Officer of Changi General Hospital and Singapore General Hospital. Prior to this, he worked in Ministry of Health. He obtained his MBBS and M.Med (Public Health) from the National University of Singapore. He also has an MBA(Finance) from the University of Leicester.
In 2022, he was conferred the Public Service Star (BBM) for his services to the community, as well as the Public Service Medal (PBM; Covid-19) for his contribution to Singapore’s effort in fighting the Covid-19 Pandemic by the Singapore Government.
