Biodata

A/Prof Yeo See Cheng is Head and Senior Consultant at the Department of Renal Medicine in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), NHG Health and Associate Professor (Clinical Practice), Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University. He is concurrently the Clinical Director of Data Analytics Management & Research Governance, CRIO TTSH. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and underwent specialist training in TTSH, during which he attained the Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) and membership to the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom). He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore), Royal College of Physicians (London), American Society of Nephrology, and International Society of Nephrology. His core areas of clinical interests are in general nephrology, chronic kidney disease and glomerular disease.

Following his Ministry of Health Health Manpower Development Plan award in Clinical and Research Fellowship in Glomerular Diseases & Renal Immunology in the United Kingdom, he was awarded a TTSH scholarship to pursue the Doctor of Medicine in molecular pathogenesis in IgA nephropathy. He also received the Master of Public Health (Distinctions) from the Imperial College London. He participates actively in clinical trials and takes a keen interest in clinical research. He is currently the Programme Director for SPARKS (Singapore Prevention and Retardation of Kidney Disease Study) strategic research programme and the Principal Investigator for PRECISE-SG100K flagship project on population kidney health. He received the NMRC HPHSR Clinician Scientist Award in 2024.

A/Prof Yeo has been actively involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students and is a Core Clinical Faculty Member of the NHG Health Renal Medicine Residency Programme, and previously held the role of Clinical Competency Committee and Programme Evaluation Committee Chair. He was awarded the TTSH Top 10 Teacher Award and NUS YLLSoM Special Recognition Award. Regionally, he leads a team to advocate kidney health in the Philippines and Vietnam. A/Prof Yeo is active in the Singapore Society of Nephrology (SSN) Executive Committee and Academy of Medicine (Singapore) College of Physicians and Chapter of Renal Physicians. Besides his clinical, research and education roles, A/Prof Yeo is active in leading several national, cluster and hospital-level projects and committees to improve and transform care quality and delivery. In recognition of his contributions, he has been awarded the SSN Achievement Award, NHG Health Outstanding Citizenship Award and The Public Administration Medal (Bronze) (COVID-19).
