Dr Caroline Chia is a Family Physician at NHG Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Duke-NUS Medical School in 2016 and underwent further training in Family Medicine, earning her Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (2022) and completing the NHG Family Medicine Residency Program (2023). She was formally accredited as a Family Physician by the Family Physicians Accreditation Board (FPAB) in 2023 and subsequently attained her Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2024.
Clinically, Dr Chia focuses on chronic disease management and is part of the Endocrine Specialty Advisory Group (SAG) at NHG Polyclinics, where she collaborates with colleagues to support evidence-based care for endocrine conditions. Her team’s audit project, “Increasing the Percentage of Type 2 Diabetic Patients in Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic with LDL < 2.6 mmol/L,” received the NHG Polyclinics’ Our Care Quality Improvement Project – Excellence Award (2023). She is also involved in the SPARk Clinic (Supporting Persons With Disabilities with Accessible Resources and Care), an initiative aimed at improving healthcare accessibility for patients with intellectual disabilities.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr Chia is involved in medical education and training. She supervises MOPEX residents during their rotations, contributes to undergraduate medical teaching, and serves on the MMED Mock Examination Committee.
