Dr Quek Jing Sheng is a Family Physician, Associate Consultant and Deputy Head at NHG Woodlands Polyclinic. Dr Quek graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS) with an MBBS in 2012. He subsequently completed postgraduate Family Medicine (FM) training, obtaining the qualifications of MMed(FM) in 2020 and FCFP(S) in 2023. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2024.
He has a clinical interest in patients with complex care needs in primary care as well as community geriatrics. He leads RELATE (Relationship-based social and health integration) at Woodlands Polyclinic, a multidisciplinary team focused on improving the care of patients with psychosocial complexities via case management and coordination with various community partners. He is also a member of the Elder Care Strategic Workgroup that aims to implement processes to improve care for geriatric patients across NHG Polyclinics.
Dr Quek's commitment to evidence-based practice is reflected in his research work, which has been published in international peer-reviewed journals. His research contributions have been recognised with several grants and awards, including the Singapore Primary Care Award (Gold) for Oral Presentation at the Singapore Health and Biomedical Congress 2024. He is also actively involved in several quality improvement projects aimed at improving clinical processes and patient care.
Additionally, Dr Quek contributes to medical education as a Clinical Tutor at NUS, MCQ Writer for the national Family Medicine Applied Knowledge Test and is involved in various postgraduate Family Medicine teaching and examinations.
Recognising his outstanding contributions, Dr Quek has received accolades such as the National Healthcare Group (NHG) Excellence in Action Award (Individual) in 2023 and the NHG Team Recognition Award (Gold) in 2022. He is also a graduand of the Singapore Chief Residency Programme (SCRP) in 2024.
