Biodata

Dr Trishna Shimpi is a Senior Consultant Radiologist who specialises in breast imaging and image-guided breast interventions. She has trained and practised across multiple healthcare systems, with clinical experience in India, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

Her radiology training began in India at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai, where she worked alongside senior radiologists and gained broad exposure to diagnostic imaging. She subsequently pursued postgraduate training overseas, moving to Singapore to complete her Master of Medicine (Radiology) degree at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She also obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) from the United Kingdom.

Following her core training, Dr Shimpi completed two years of Advanced Specialist Training in Diagnostic Radiology in Singapore, where she developed focused expertise in breast imaging. In 2017, she was appointed Consultant Radiologist at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), Singapore, where her clinical work included diagnostic breast imaging and image-guided procedures.

To further develop her subspecialty expertise, Dr Shimpi completed a one-year fellowship in breast imaging and breast interventions at the University of Toronto, Canada (2019–2020). Her fellowship training was conducted across Princess Margaret Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Women’s College Hospital. During this period, she worked within multidisciplinary breast care teams and particpated in diagnostic imaging, screening, and interventional breast procedures.

After returning to Singapore, Dr Shimpi assumed the role of Chief, Breast Imaging, within the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at KTPH. In this leadership position, she was involved in clinical service delivery, subspecialty development, and collaborative care within breast health services.

Dr Shimpi also has experience in the private healthcare sector. She served as Senior Consultant Radiologist at Specialist Women’s Imaging, Camden Medical Centre, Singapore, from 2024 to 2026. She is now transitioning back to the public healthcare sector, with the intention of contributing to long-term breast imaging services and women’s health care.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr Shimpi is actively involved in medical education. She has participated in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and was awarded the Best Teacher Award for Postgraduate Training at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine for the academic year 2016–2017.
