Ambulatory Medical Care

We provide suitable patients with rapid medical care, with the goal of discharging them within 1 to 2 days.

About Ambulatory Medical Care

At Woodlands Hospital, we understand that a lengthy hospital stay is not a desirable outcome for patients, especially those with less severe conditions. In fact, it is widely known that patients who can recover at home tend to recover better and faster in the comforts of home.

After receiving care at the Emergency Department, some patients may be directed to certain services such as Ambulatory Medical Care (AMC). The AMC service allows clinical teams to quickly diagnose, treat and discharge suitable patients, reducing the need for admission to a general ward. Not only does this avoid unnecessary admissions, it can also help patients and caregivers reduce costs associated with an inpatient stay.
