Chief, Health Services & Outcomes Research

Adj Prof John Abisheganaden leads NHG Health’s Health Services & Outcomes Research (HSOR), where he oversees population analytics, implementation science, and healthcare performance research. A senior consultant in Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), he previously headed the department from 2014 to 2023. Prof Abisheganaden also chairs the NHG Respiratory Health Steering Committee and serves as medical lead for value-based care initiatives across the cluster. His research focuses on improving care delivery, system efficiency, and sustainability. He holds a Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine from NUS and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh) and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Prof Abisheganaden’s leadership supports NHG Health’s shift towards data-informed, patient-centric care systems that improve population health outcomes.
