Frailty Management Workshop for Healthcare Professionals
Primary Care plays a major role for preventive measures on frailty in older people as causes of frailty are treatable and even reversible with adequate nutrition and exercise. This course covers nutritional knowledge and appropriate exercise to prevent frailty. This course is suitable for all healthcare professionals.

Medical component
- Know the care delivery transformation on frailty
- Assess frailty in Primary Care setting (Clinical Frailty Scale)
Diet component
- Familiarize with the screening tools for malnutrition
- Estimate the energy requirement, macro, and micronutrient composition for older adults
- Apply ESPEN guideline on clinical nutrition and hydration in Geriatrics
Exercise component
- Recognise different types of exercises and recommendations for older adults
- Apply mobility assessment tool to recommend appropriate exercises for frail older adults
- Perform simple exercises within home environment
- Address barriers to starting an exercise routine
